Sue Mitchell*1949 -May 6, 2009

I am dedicating this blog to Sue Mitchell who passed away May 6, 2009 at the age of 60. I’ve been reviewing her messages to us, her friends on a painting group called ChicChicks. Here are some things I found about Sue Mitchell who joined ChicChicks eight months after it’s creation, so you see she was with us from almost the first. I intend to share all Sue’s messages with you and you can read them at your leisure…Kathleen

Sue Mitchell 1949 - 2009

-First and foremost Sue loved her Lord and Savior…you can see this within her messages and also how she signed her posts thus: “Sue Mitchell Rising Star, TX ...In God We Trust” She said powerful prayers and I just knew they flew straight to God instantly.

-She prayed for others true, and straight from her heart to God

-Sue loved and missed her sister very much after her death Jan 30, 2006. Although her sister was 15 years older than Sue, there was a connection that lasted a lifetime. Holidays were hard for Sue and she remembered her sis with songs.

-Sue loved baking goodies for her family

-She certainly enjoyed visiting her cousin’s farm and seeing all the domesticated animals on a beautiful, sunny day.

-Sue had a dog she called her sweet buddy who died toward the end of August 2008

-She loved to pass along a good bargain.

-Sue enjoyed learning about art and how to do it from videos on the web.
-Sue liked those stories that make the rounds which touch your heart or bring a tear to your eye. She was that kind of gal!

-She joyfully wished others a Happy Birthday

-Loved chocolate

-Welcomed new members graciously

-Was free with her compliments

-Came up with many, many ideas to construct or paint Christmas gifts.

-Wasn’t afraid to ask questions even though they might seem silly

-Liked to cook…but once she accidentally dumped a goodly amount of chili pepper into chili

-Sue loved exchanges…she willing used ‘chicken talk’ and called them “egg-changes”, she gave herself the name “Aunt Biddy”

-Lucky was the one who received a painted item from Sue

-Pink roses were a favorite of hers

-Sue sold items on eBay from time to time

-Sue made up new words such as “fazoo”-which I am sure meant feathers, your soft, fluffy feathers. “Build a nest and fluff out your fazoos…” she would say.
-She was a wealth of information about painting and other matters, too.

-Sue liked to be connected to people whether it be through her blogs, FaceBook, Myspace, her painting groups, or any other avenue. Sue just simply liked people!

In December of 2008 Sue was reminded of a true story about a young man’s memory of his last, best Christmas before a terrible accident left him without the use of both legs and his right arm above the elbow. Sue said, “Reading that story made me think that maybe it was important to keep up the old traditions...drag out the decorations and put up a tree...just in case...this might be the last fun Christmas for someone we love.” Sue went to be with her maker five months later.
